Maria De Los Muertos
Dying to oneself has never looked so beautiful. Mary died to her dreams, goals, reputation, almost lost a future wit the man she loved, and she even put her own life at risk carrying the Son of God, as stoning was the punishment for having a child outside of marriage. She was willing to die because of what, or better said Who she believed in, to bring honor and glory to God, that is what truly made her special.
Let us do the same.
Using what we have been accustomed to imagining Virgin Mary, we gave her a twist, truly challenging the perception of what Holy, Death, and Beauty have in common. Different sketches were made, until one resonated more with the message being portrayed.
